Associate Attorney

Position Overview

The Oakbrook-based law firm of Costello Sury & Rooney serves clients throughout Metropolitan Chicago, Northwest Indiana, and beyond. We are seeking a dedicated, ambitious licensed Illinois attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join our team. The role provides general counsel to not-for-profit community associations and for-profit corporations, with occasional courtroom duties in eviction-related matters. The ideal candidate is eager to advance their legal career, detail-oriented, possesses strong organizational skills, and can manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Provide legal counsel to community associations and for-profit corporations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Offer legal opinions and draft correspondence concerning the construction of corporate documents.
• Consistently communicate with clients in a timely manner.
• Appear in court on eviction-related matters on an occasional basis.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff.

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.
• 1-5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a car and be willing to travel as needed.

Salary range: $75,000-$95,000 commensurate with experience.
