We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our direct care team at Chesterfield Group Home
. Our program supports the development and growth of young adults involved with the Connecticut DCF who have experienced significant emotional challenges.
Full-time, 2nd Shift
CompensationThe pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour
. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
Due to the nature of our work and the youth who depend on us, there may be times where overtime is mandated.
Training & Responsibilities- Learn how to provide direct care within the group home outlined by agency and program policies.
- Support the development and growth of young adults who have experienced significant emotional challenges.
- Become knowledgeable in how to lead by example and role model for all staff and students.
- Use effective skills to better serve the young adults at our group home by displaying creative engagement tactics, and provide a safe environment for them to succeed.
- Work as an integral part of an active and engaged team.
- Assist in handling special projects as assigned by the Administrative Team, or designee.

- Must be 21 years old or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to establish clear professional boundaries, work as a team member and consistently implement all policies and procedures, rules and regulations of JRI.
- Ability to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to maintain the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
