The primary function of the Client Service Representative (CSR) Primary in the Services Department is to provide excellent client service through passionate and professional handling of a variety of client interactions, as well as the daily operations related to the client’s first impression of the organization. Additionally, the CSR is expected to promote professional growth through education and learning opportunities. This position will report directly to the Support Team Manager.
GeneralExpectations
- Work as scheduled and be available nights, weekends, and holidays to meet deadlines
- Quickly and efficiently identify clients/patients that may be in distress and escalates them to the appropriate team member
- Adhere to all compliance procedures regarding radiographic, controlled drugs, hazardous waste, OSHA, and various other items
- Function as a liaison for the client with the clinicians and technical team
- Process client paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Process deposits, payments, and refund appropriately and accurately
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of all client areas (lobby, exam rooms, restrooms, etc.)
- Take responsibility for personal, professional development and aid in the training and development of other staff members
- Puts clients first in everything they do by communicating clearly, courteously, and respectfully.
- The team member scheduled as CSR 1 will be responsible for monitoring internal and external communications during their shift and ensuring responses and completion of the task.
- Provide delicate and continuity of care for euthanasia clients
- Responsible for preparation and finalization of cremation services
- Refrain from diagnosing or giving medical advice over the phone or in person
- Be supportive of all client’s medical care decisions without judgement

QualificationsPhysical Requirements
- Ability to work well under pressure and high levels of stress
- Ability to occasionally lift 40 pounds from floor to table height
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Frequent movement including bending, reaching, and repetitive transitions between sitting, standing, and walking
- Must be able to sit and work at a computer workstation for prolonged periods, with extended screen exposure
- Limited exposure to controlled, chemo-therapeutic, teratogenic, and mutagenic drugs; zoonotic diseases, radiation, and anesthetic gases
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to uphold all AERC Core Values
