Senior Project Manager – Oakdale, MN

Assist the Business Unit Manager in achieving overall strategic objectives of the company.

• Lead projects that deliver solutions to clients that consistently exceed expectations, are on time, and remain within budget. This focuses on:
  • Collecting field data and client documentation for scoping and engineering
  • Preparing project engineering, procurement, and construction specifications
  • Preparing justification and project approval documentation on behalf of clients
  • Managing engineering with internal and external resources
  • Managing procurement of equipment and materials
  • Reviewing drawings and technical specifications
  • Construction solicitation and management
  • Developing and administering project budgets, fiscal controls, and quality control provisions; performing project cost estimating and value engineering as appropriate
  • Representing the firm professionally in business interactions with clients, consultants, contractors, and agencies
  • Providing technical assistance for proposal development, presentations, reports, and study preparation for new work and project delivery.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Business Unit Manager and client managers as deemed appropriate.

• 10+ years of related experience
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (preferred); BS in other engineering disciplines or construction management acceptable; associate’s degree with equivalent experience may also be considered
• Demonstrated knowledge and capability in project management, concept development, and project delivery
• Organized, technically competent, and possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Consulting engineering experience and practical experience in industrial manufacturing strongly desired
• Knowledge of industrial standards (OSHA, EPA, Building Codes, GMP, etc.)

• Typical interior/office space, industrial manufacturing environment, and occasional outside work
• Travel average 30‑40% as required by projects
• Valid driver’s license required; ability to travel to client sites
• Physical effort includes walking around plant sites, climbing ladders and platforms; seeing, color perception, hearing, and clear speech required
• Limited exposure to physical risk

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• 3D or 2D drafting capabilities a plus
• Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools
• Ability to analyze comprehensive business processes, perform in‑depth work analyses, and develop computer‑generated flowcharts

Salary range is $130,000 – $150,000 annually depending on qualifications plus a discretionary bonus and employee stock program.
