Overview
Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Part‑time Mobile Examiner to provide coverage in the field and ensure mobile exams are completed accurately and on time. The role requires specimen collection, specimen processing, performance of in‑center and mobile exams, and customer service to clients and applicants.
Responsibilities- Ensure all specimens are collected accurately and on time.
- Collect specimens according to established procedures.
- Conduct in‑center exams and mobile exams, including basic vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, and EKG.
- Complete application packets and other paperwork accurately.
- Label, centrifuge, and split specimens as required by test order.
- Upload and complete cases in portal within 24 hrs on weekdays and within 48 hrs on weekends.
- Package specimens for transport and ship to lab indicated on work orders.
- Transport specimens, supplies, equipment, and materials safely and timely to the appropriate destination.
- Maintain records of each specimen collected each day and support record deletion process when directed by management.
- Submit original paperwork to destination and provide customer service to clients.
- Follow current Examiner’s Manual, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs and error rate of no more than 3 %.
- Confirm exams with clients day before appointment and status the case at time of confirmation.
- Correct non‑applicant errors within a 24 hour timeframe and submit accurate time and travel logs as directed by management.
- Properly clock in and out for work assignments and provide travel logs when applicable.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment, adhere to dress code and grooming policies, and wear company identification badge at all times.
- Report any resolved or unresolved issues to the appropriate manager or supervisor promptly.
- Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work environment, handle biohazard containers, and assist with inventory counts.
- Assist with distribution of technical information and communications to the work group.
- Maintain flexible travel up to 25 mile radius and flexible work hours, noting availability in Examview.
- Perform any other duties assigned within the scope of the position requiring a company iPad or specified electronic device.
- Minimum of 100 documented successful blood draws.
- Minimum of one year phlebotomy experience; pediatric and geriatric patient experience is a plus.
- Experience with urine or hair follicle collection and EKG is preferred.
- Valid driver license, clean record, and access to dependable or insured transportation.
- Sit for periods of time, stand while performing work, drive to and from work assignments.
- Lifting no more than 40 pounds.
- Flexible and available based on staffing requirements, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and occasional on‑call duties.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, and the ability to make decisions based on established procedures. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification.
