Operational Program Director / 245D Designated Manager

The Operational Program Director (OPD) will lead and coordinate programs for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, medical needs, and/or autism spectrum disorders. This role blends direct care duties with supervisory responsibilities.
HoursFull‑time organization-wide position (may be part‑time within a given home). The OPD’s schedule must be flexible to accommodate program, individual, and staff needs. The OPD is on‑call at all times, unless prior arrangements are made for a comparable authority to receive emergency calls.
Responsibilities- Ensure all direct service shifts in programs are filled by staff who meet Dungarvin conditions of employment and are adequately oriented and trained.
- Occasionally work direct service shifts, normally not exceeding 16 hours per week; notify supervisor in advance if more hours are required.
- Maintain readiness to adjust schedules in consultation with the director when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field preferred.
- Three years of supervisory experience in the human service field, meeting 245D Designated Manager requirements.
- Valid United States Driver’s License with acceptable motor vehicle background check per Dungarvin policy.
- Valid liability vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform personal cares and lift/transfer individuals.
- Capability to transport persons served in the community.
- Strong decision‑making, time‑management, and communication skills; responsible and flexible.
- Minimum age 18 years; some programs require at least 21 years per Minnesota requirements.
- Starting salary $65,000 – $66,787.50 annually.
