Overview

Press Operator 2 - Flexographic Press (2nd Shift or 3rd Shift)

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment.
• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the Flexographic press operated, including mounting plates or installing print cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping web paths, adjusting tension and register, etc.
• Make necessary color correction and anilox adjustments and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.
• Perform periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer.

• Requires 5 years of thorough knowledge of Flexographic printing procedures, materials and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements; ability to perform assignments.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings, and materials needed to run the job successfully.
• Skill to make a variety of precise web paths and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment.
• Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills (Excel, Word) and Google; preferred.
• Skill in use of Mark Andy, Aquaflex, Comco, Webtron preferred.

• Shift options: 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) or 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
• Transition to 12-hour rotating night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) with weekly schedule details (Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat; Week 2: Sun, Wed, Thu).

• Pay range at the location: $25.49 to $40.31 per hour. Actual rate may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location.
• Potential for higher pay for experienced candidates; overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay may be included as applicable.
