General FunctionAs a Beauty Manager, this position will be responsible for setting the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability. It involves coordinating the delivery of high‑quality products at competitive retail prices, staying current on trends, enhancing the customer experience and increasing sales, and maintaining a positive company image through courteous and friendly service to customers and team members.

Accountable and reports to:
District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Manager of Health Wellness Home, Store Operations, and Perishables;
Fashion/Beauty/Basin Director. Positions that report to you:

- Maintain a positive attitude; create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
- Generate a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet and speak to customers; provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
- Set department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and profitability.
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service, exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all interactions.
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, whether in the department or elsewhere in the store.
- Assist customers (e.g., escorting them to products, securing items out of reach, loading/unloading heavy items, noting and passing along suggestions or requests, performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience). Handle telephone inquiries promptly with friendly, helpful service.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, discipline, and evaluate all department employees.
- Determine department goals with the store director, create a weekly work schedule and daily work plan, and establish signage and merchandising standards.
- Track product rotation, check for expired codes, and order merchandise for replenishment; determine sanitation guidelines and ensure compliance.
- Operate cash register accurately, scan products, and report cash discrepancies.
- Fill displays, check delivered merchandise, and work in the sales area; maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress, and company guidelines.
- Report to work on time and be punctual.
- Attend meetings, seminars, and continuing education.
- Unload trucks and store product appropriately.
- Assist in other store areas as needed.
- Perform other job‑related duties and special projects as required.
High school diploma or equivalent experience, and 1–3 years of similar or related work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization and interpret instructions.
- Arithmetic skills involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Ability to write, edit articles, prepare and deliver presentations, interview counsel, advise people, and evaluate technical data.
Instruct, review, and plan the work of others; maintain standards, coordinate activities, and act on employee issues.
Physical Requirements- Perform medium work exerting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and up to 20 lbs regularly.
- Visual requirements include clarity at less than 20 inches and more than 20 ft, with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
- Necessary physical activities: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, speaking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Exposure to dirt, noise, and equipment movement hazards daily; occasional exposure to temperature extremes, dampness, electrical shock, and chemicals/solvents. Fast‑paced work environment.
Equipment Used to Perform JobTelephone, fax, copier, cash register, intercom, pallet jacks, forklift, trash compactor, cardboard compactor, box cutter, knives, computer, calculator, printer, wireless devices, internet, RPM system, and Microsoft Office products.
Financial ResponsibilityResponsible for merchandise.
ContactsDaily contact with customers, suppliers/vendors, and the general public.

SalaryThe anticipated hourly starting wage is $18.00 to $22.50 depending on experience.
