Business Rates Recovery Officer | Part-Time (26 Hours) | Permanent | Bromley | Hybrid Working A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Rates Recovery Officer to join a well-established Revenues team on a permanent, part-time basis (26 hours per week) .

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Business Rates recovery cases through all stages of the recovery process Proactively undertaking debt recovery and account housekeeping activities Maintaining accurate debtor records to support effective billing and collection Conducting tracing activities and company searches to locate liable parties Processing recovery documentation and administrative tasks Assisting with summons surgeries and attending NNDR recovery meetings Referring cases to Enforcement Agents and progressing returned cases Preparing cases for Charging Orders and Bankruptcy proceedings Attending monthly Summons Court hearings Ensuring compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and relevant procedures Essential

Experience:

Proven experience within Business Rates (NNDR) and debt recovery Strong knowledge of Business Rates legislation and recovery processes Experience progressing accounts through the full recovery cycle Excellent communication skills with customers, legal representatives, magistrates, and external agencies Proactive approach to debt collection and case management Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet targets Experience using Academy (NEC) , Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook This role would suit an experienced Revenues professional with a strong background in Business Rates recovery and enforcement , looking for a flexible part-time opportunity within a supportive and established team environment.
