Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) is a vibrant and fast paced organisation which aims to provide the absolute best primary healthcare to members of the Armed Forces and other entitled personnel. Our MOD Dentists aim is to maximise the deployability of the Population at Risk, providing clinical outputs, improving, and managing the dental health and operational fitness of service personnel for whom they are responsible for.

Providing an occupational oral health assessment, being fully conversant with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation Dental Fitness categorisation and dental input into the Joint Medical Employment Standard for Service personnel. Be aware of the duty of confidentiality placed upon the MOD Dentist by the General Dental Council and understand the action that must be taken to protect patients confidentiality in accordance with the General Dental Councils Principles of Patient Confidentiality document including the 8 Caldicott principles.

Ensuring that surgery management, documentation including consumable stores, the safe custody of personal sensitive data and the maintenance of equipment is always kept to a high standard.

This role is a permanent part-time position offering 21 hours per week, Wednesday 8 hours, Thursday 8 hours, Friday 5 hours, the salary will be pro-rata where part-time hours are undertaken.
