About the Role

Are you an inspiring SEN Teacher who wants more than just a job?

Do you want to help young people overcome barriers, discover their strengths, and achieve things they may never have thought possible?

We’re looking for a passionate, creative and resilient SEN Teacher to join a supportive, forward-thinking school where every student is valued as an individual and every achievement matters.

Working with students with SEMHD (Social, Emotional, Mental Health Difficulties), learning difficulties and complex needs
, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating engaging learning experiences, building confidence and independence, and helping young people make meaningful progress — academically, socially and emotionally.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an SEN Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Inspire and engage students through high-quality, personalised teaching, working with individuals and small groups.
  • Plan and deliver creative lessons that meet individual learning needs and align with the school curriculum.
  • Track and celebrate progress
, using assessment and observation to identify next steps and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individual education, behaviour and support plans alongside colleagues.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive.
  • Coordinate teaching, assessment and reporting across agreed subjects and key stages.
  • Support students’
educational, physical, social and moral development
    .
  • Help young people experiencing challenging behaviour to develop self-regulation, confidence and independence
    .
  • Work closely with Learning Support Assistants, tutors and care staff to provide consistent, joined-up support.
  • Play an active role in school improvement and continuous development
, helping shape an environment where students and staff can succeed.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings expertise, compassion and creativity to the classroom.

You’ll ideally be:

  • Qualified – Hold UK QTS or equivalent, alongside a relevant degree.
  • Experienced – Have experience supporting pupils with SEN,
SEMHD, learning difficulties and/or complex needs
    .
  • Compassionate & Resilient – Able to build genuine, trusting relationships with young people who may have experienced significant challenges.
  • Collaborative – A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Creative & Flexible – Willing to think differently, adapt your approach and find what works for each individual student.
Why This Role?

Because here,
you won’t simply be teaching lessons — you’ll be changing lives.

You’ll help young people recognise their potential, develop the skills they need for greater independence, and experience success in ways that are meaningful to them.

If you’re ready to bring your passion, creativity and expertise to a school that genuinely believes every young person can achieve
, we’d love to hear from you.
