The ESSET Outreach team currently delivers outreach support to mainstream schools across the four quadrants of Essex. Following the successful launch of its outreach offer, ESSET is looking to expand the team and recruit Outreach Support Workers/Teachers.

The service aims to improve educational outcomes for learners with SEND by supporting schools to provide high-quality, adaptive and early support, strengthen inclusive practice and remove barriers to learning. This reflects the ambition of the Department for Education's white paper, Every Child Achieving and Thriving, and its vision for every child to achieve and thrive through a more inclusive education system.

Working under the direction of the Outreach Lead, the successful candidate will support schools to implement recommendations, develop inclusive practice and meet the individual needs of learners with SEND.

As the outreach offer expands into Key Stage 3, the team will play an important role in supporting pupils and schools through the transition from primary to secondary education, promoting continuity of provision and ensuring that learners receive timely, appropriate support as they move into the next stage of their education.
