Position: Warehouse Operative (Order Distributor)

Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time up to Full Times)

Shift patterns: Various to be discussed with the site team

Salary: £13.49 per hour

Contracted hours available from five hours to 40 hours per week

  – Thursday
• HMP Bedford, St Loyes Street, Bedford MK40 1HG
  – Friday
• HMP Leicester, 116 Welford Rd, Leicester LE2 7AJ
  – Friday

Warehouse/Overtime Options to work in Stocken/Oakham

Travel Expenses for travelling to different sites

Flexible Hours to be agreed with the site team

PLEASE NOTE: The roles are based within a Prison. You will be required to undergo an Enhanced Security Vetting Process (You must have current 3 years plus of UK address history) if you are to be successful for this position.

Please note you must have access to your own transport due to the remoteness of some of the locations above.

HMPPS provides a service to HMPPs with the means to order goods. At DHL, our role is to manage the picking, packing and distribution of these orders. No two days on our HMPPS contract are the same!

• Working on the wings, distributing orders timely and accurately to each in-mate
• Loading and unloading vehicles when orders arrive
• Compliance to rules and regulations

• The ability to work in a prison environment, alongside in-mates
• The ability to work in a role that requires manual handling and heavy lifting
• Good communication at all levels
• Full UK driving Licence
