Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be based at Rutland Care Village in Oakham, Leicestershire, caring for 82 residents in a purpose-built care village. Responsibilities include accurate nursing notes, safe medication management, updating care plans, clinical calendar tasks, daily client assessments, handovers, and compliance with the NMC code of conduct.

• Complete nursing notes accurately
• Assist in the safe ordering, custody, storing and administration of all medication
• Ensure that Care Plans and records are evaluated, up to date and accurate
• Take responsibility for updated and performing tasks on the clinical calendar
• Visit each client daily to assess their needs and seek continuous improvement of care delivered
• Comply with the NMC Code of Conduct at all times
• Ensure that each client’s dignity and independence are respected, irrespective of severity of their physical or mental ability
• Participate in daily handover, taking the lead for nursing clients with care staff and nurses
• Communicate – attend and participate in daily meetings and share information
• Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager to meet the changing needs of the business

A valid NMC nursing pin is essential. The ideal candidate will have genuine caring nature, post‑qualification experience within a clinical setting, patience, understanding and respect for residents’ individual abilities.
