Location:

Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 | Pay Rate: $19/hr |

Schedule:

Tuesday – Saturday 8:45 am‑5:15 pm (Sun & Mon off).

Job Responsibilities

The pool attendant is responsible for overseeing the pool area, making safety announcements, and maintaining an inventory of all poolside equipment to be always available for guest use.

Additional Duties

• Oversee pool area (adult/children) and make safety announcements.
• Assist with set up and breakdown for poolside activities as needed.
• Submit and report incidents to the appropriate manager.
• Provide service orientation and be approachable to residents/guests.
• Pick up debris from the pool and possess basic cleaning skills.
• Check sports equipment to ensure it is in order for guests to use.
• Report broken sports equipment to the manager for replacement ordering.
• Work as a team member.
• Familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for the position.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred; completion of college‑level courses in hospitality strongly desirable.
• Two (2) or more years’ experience in the hospitality industry.

Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Requirements & Working Environment

• Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
• Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
• Walk and climb stairs; handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
• Navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet job functions.
• Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
