Join Gulf Coast JFCS and pursue a role focused on maximizing the healthy transition of youth and young adults into adulthood.
What You Will Do- Establish relationships with youth/young adults, guardians, and service providers.
- Conduct assessments, pre‑and post‑testing with youth/young adults.
- Identify, deliver, create, broker, and link needed supports across transition domains.
- Provide life‑skills teaching and hands‑on coaching to support independent living goals.
- Develop an independent living plan with specific goals and time frames.
- Maintain an active caseload and link youth/young adults to community support services.
- Transport youth/young adults to activities and services.
- Provide psycho educational groups on life skill topics.
- Ensure concise and timely completion of paperwork and documentation.
- Provide secondary family support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- $45,000 salary

- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and one year of experience working with youth or relevant case management experience.
- Experience working with youth or young adults coping with trauma and behavioral health issues; homelessness experience is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of community organizations and resources.
- Must possess ability to operate Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail and organizational skills are critical.
- Ability to conduct formal and informal meetings.
- Must be available to handle crisis in person or by phone.
- Ability to reach, bend, crouch, and climb stairs while assisting with life skills in homes.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments at any time, season, or climate.
- Use of personal vehicle to transport clients as needed.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance coverage.
From babies to seniors, Gulf Coast JFCS serves all people in need, regardless of race, religion, culture, or gender identity. Our programs span human services, behavioral and mental health, child welfare and adoption, family support, employment transition, housing, food, transportation, and home care assistance for the elderly. GCJFCS offers field experience and direct client contact hours for Bachelor’s and Master’s level practicum and internship programs.
