Accounting Supervisor

Overview

Our award-winning client is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join their team. Our client, a local law firm, seeks an experienced Accountant or Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting functions in an employee-centric environment, offering a comprehensive compensation package with 100% benefits coverage, bonuses, and a pension.

• Process journal entries and conduct general ledger reconciliations to ensure accurate and meticulous record-keeping.
• Manage payroll processing for approximately 100 salaried employees using ADP, handling 401k, dependent care, garnishments, and reconciling W2s.
• Reconcile bank accounts associated with client payments, manage W-9s, and update the ERP system for seamless financial transactions.
• Respond promptly to internal staff inquiries, providing information related to accounting and payroll matters.

• Knowledge of Accounting Standards:
  In-depth understanding of accounting principles and standards.
• Experience in Payroll Processing:
  Over 3 years of hands-on experience in processing payroll, particularly with ADP or a comparable system.
• Advanced MS Excel Proficiency:
  Demonstrated advanced skills in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Detail Orientation:
  Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of accounting and financial processes.
• Strong Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information.
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in relevant accounting roles.
