MARKETING COORDINATOR, UC PRESS (HYBRID)

UC Press—one of the most respected and mission-driven scholarly publishers—is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to support campaigns that elevate bold ideas, diverse voices, and socially impactful scholarship.
In this role, you will provide essential operational and creative support to the marketing team, helping deliver advertising, email, and social media campaigns that bring new books and authors to readers worldwide. You’ll coordinate digital and print advertising logistics, track invoices and budgets, compile performance reports, and organize vendor data to inform marketing strategy. You will also assist with email marketing setup and coding, asset uploads, content selection, and thematic outreach to ensure all disciplines remain engaged.
Your work will also include supporting social media scheduling, drafting or formatting blog content, monitoring engagement, and collaborating with managers on promotional plans and database updates. You will play a key role in team operations by taking meeting notes, maintaining workflow documentation, and assisting with special projects.
Required- At least one year of administrative experience in marketing and/or publishing
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; interest in learning new tools
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
- Enthusiasm for publishing and mission-driven work
Salary range: $68,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience.
This hybrid role requires residency in California and two in-office days per week (Wed/Thurs)
