Tamil Teacher – Freelance, Part-Time

Language Trainers is a successful language training company that works with freelance teachers of 70 different languages in hundreds of towns and cities worldwide. Founded in 2004, the company’s motto is “Any Language, Anytime, Anywhere!” We have an opportunity for a Tamil teacher in Oakland.

Client and Course Details

• Client location:
  Oakland, CA 94702
• Course: 42‑hour, one‑to‑one General Tamil classes
• Format:
  Two‑hour sessions alternating weekly (two weeks on, one week off) for approximately 12 hours per month
• Preferred start: ASAP
• Preferred teaching locations: client’s office, client’s home, or a public location near Oakland

Scheduling Options (the instructor can propose alternatives based on availability)

• Monday (4‑9 pm)
• Thursday (9 am‑12:30 pm or 6‑9 pm)
• Saturday (9 am‑2 pm)
• Sunday (9 am‑2:30 pm)

  Lower Intermediate

  English

  Growing up in a Tamil‑speaking family, attended a weekend Tamil academy during middle and high school; now wants to improve fluency for cultural connection and travel conversations.
• Age group: 25‑34

Ideal Teacher Qualifications

• Native Tamil speaker or holds a teaching degree
• Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter
• Valid working visa (no sponsorship)
• Residence within 20 miles of the client’s location

Compensation and Terms

• Hourly rate:
  Negotiable based on qualifications and experience
• Frequency:
  Freelance, part‑time
• Location and schedule flexible within instructor’s and client’s availability
