What we offer teachers:

Oakland Unified has received substantial funding to support Grow Our Own pathway programs including Classified-to-Teacher, Maestr@s, and the Salesforce Recruitment & Retention Initiative for Middle Schools programs. Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, must be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check.
  • Candidates must possess, or be willing Españ off a California teaching credential.
  • Candidates must have two current professional references on file, including one from a previous supervisor.
  • Candidates need to disclose every California school district, County Office of Education, charter school or state special school that they have worked for to satisfy AB2534 requirements.
