- Person Academic classes are held Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Performing Arts Monday – Thursday 4:00 p.m.
-5:15 p.m. Work times are 15 minutes prior to and immediately following class times plus 30 minutes one day per week for staff meetings. May include virtual classes if needed.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in education or relevant discipline with significant high school teaching experience; state certification preferred. (For Performing Arts: Relevant combination of education and experience).
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Windows, Internet, Google Classroom). Light clerical skills.
- Previous experience working with ethnically diverse students (preferably high school ages).
- Virtual teaching proficiency
- Commitment to helping students prepare for college.
- Science – Biology, Chemistry, Physics
- Performing Arts—Vocal Music, Drama, Dance, Scene Design
- Electives – decided annually |
Job Duties
- Generate, submit, and facilitate lesson plans incorporating available electronic technology (Google Drive, LMS , and other platforms as available).
- Supervise and effectively utilize Academic Mentors (AMs) in the classroom and other resources to create and maintain a classroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning.
- For Virtual: maintain Google Classroom by posting assignments, responding to scholar questions, etc.
- Keep track of the instructional schedule (there are several schedules operating simultaneously) and be conscientious about signing in and out for work.
- Attend weekly staff meetings as well as required professional development.
- Collaborate with other PUB Team members to create positive cohesive relationships that focus on student development to achieve desired outcomes.
- Communicate with parents as needed.
- Work with AMs to record grades and academic progress using LMS platform weekly, and final grade reports, including constructive comments, by the designated deadline.
- Recommend Spirit Award recipients to the Administrative team.
- Collaborate with other teachers to identify Academic Distinction Award recipient(s).
- Based on defined qualifications, Select Recipients and Present Certificates during awards program.
- Other relevant duties as assigned by the Academic Coordinator or Project Director
