Tutor, Learning Center

This is a part-time on-site role for a Tutor at Merritt College located in Oakland, CA. The Tutor will be responsible for providing academic support to students, conducting one-on-one and group tutoring sessions, assisting with study skills, and helping students understand course material. Tutors will also collaborate with faculty to assess student needs and progress.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the subject matter being tutored
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Experience in tutoring or teaching
• Patience and empathy towards students
• Passing grade and instructor recommendation in the subject area or related field
• Understanding of different learning styles and methodologies

Urgent need for statistics, computer science, child development and spanish tutors.
