Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (MEP) – Oakland, CA (Hybrid). Interface Engineering, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned firm offering a flexible hybrid schedule (3 days remote, 2 days in-office) with a culture focused on innovation, inclusion, and impact.
Key Responsibilities- As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (MEP) at Interface, take ownership as a discipline lead on multiple projects.
- HVAC system selection, engineering and design.
- Preparation of HVAC drawings, analysis, specifications, and calculations.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Provide oversight of HVAC support staff.
- Provide construction administration and site observations related to projects.
- Provide exemplary service to team members and clients.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of MEP/AEC design and consulting experience.
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems in public safety, educational, and commercial sectors.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
- Demonstrated interaction with clients in meetings or presentations.
- Professional Engineering License
- LEED Accreditation
- Working knowledge of IES-VE
- Competitive pay: $120,000 to $163,000 annual salary and conditional bonus.
