We are looking for an Asset Strategy Engineer with experience in electric transmission (preferred) or substation/distribution engineering to support the transmission component of our Integrated Grid Planning (IGP) efforts. This role will partner closely with the Principal Transmission Engineer and play a critical role in shaping the transmission portfolio for stakeholder review and execution in early 2026. This is a hybrid position based in Oakland, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office.

• Lead transmission-focused program management activities within the IGP team.
• Collaborate with the Principal Transmission Engineer to convert technical requirements into actionable plans.
• Oversee timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications for transmission projects.
• Support deployment and integration of Copperleaf and other planning tools.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including distribution, substation, and external system integrators.
• Prepare the transmission portfolio for stakeholder testing and execution in January.
• Drive decision-making and maintain agility in a fast-paced environment.

• Background in electric utility engineering, preferably transmission.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage timelines, and deliver results.
• Familiarity with Copperleaf is a plus (training available).
