Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Civil Engineer with 5-10 years of experience providing comprehensive civil engineering services, from initial feasibility through design, permitting, and construction support for our Bay Area office. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Current registration as an EIT, required
• Registration as a Civil Professional Engineer (P.E.), preferred
• 5+ years of experience in civil design, permitting and construction administration in a variety of market sectors related to site development
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations; technical studies; and preparation of public improvement, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility plans
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience in a multi-discipline setting preferred
• Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player with the ability to think critically and solve problems
• The motivation to learn the latest technologies and practices to enhance your professional career
• Excellent time management skills

The position will involve a mix of technical design and consulting, construction support, and new project scoping and proposal writing. We work in tight-knit teams that support each other and are managed with a healthy work-life balance that is focused on development and caring for the whole person.

The position is hybrid where the staff are in-person three days a week (minimum) and have the option to work remotely two days a week. The optional remote workdays of the week are currently Monday and Friday. These guidelines are reassessed periodically.

• Approximate Base Salary – $87k-125k based on experience
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
