Associate Electrical EngineerJoin our team as an Associate Electrical Engineer and contribute to the design and delivery of cutting‑edge electronic products. In this role, you’ll work alongside senior engineers to support hardware development from concept through prototype and into manufacturing. You’ll help design PCBs, assist with bring‑up and debug, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (firmware, mechanical, manufacturing partners, and clients).
This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑moving consulting environment—ideal for someone who enjoys learning quickly, shipping real hardware, and growing into increasing ownership of technical work streams over time.
Responsibilities- Support PCB schematic capture and layout for client and in‑house projects
- Assist in system‑level hardware design and documentation (requirements, interfaces, design notes)
- Support board bring‑up
, debugging, and validation testing - Contribute to manufacturing readiness
, including DFM feedback loops, assembly documentation, and test support - Assist with manufacturing test fixture development (hardware and/or firmware support)
- Help with BOM maintenance
, part sourcing, and component substitutions in coordination with senior engineers - Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (vendors, contractors, and clients) as needed
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 1–2 years industry experience in hardware product development (or equivalent project experience)
- Some exposure to working with manufacturers, CM/EMS partners, or taking boards through build cycles is a plus
- Proficient with PCB design and manufacturing workflows using tools such as Altium, KiCad, EAGLE, or OrCAD
- Experience supporting firmware development and/or PCB bring‑up (basic debug tools: scope, logic analyzer, JTAG/SWD)
- Familiarity with common collaboration workflows (issue trackers, documentation, spreadsheets, version control)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team
- Comfortable working with external stakeholders such as vendors and clients (with guidance)
- Embedded firmware development experience in C/C++
- Familiarity with Linux‑based embedded systems
- Comfortable with modern development workflows (e.g.,

, basic CI/CD concepts) - Curious, practical, and eager to learn from senior engineers while taking increasing ownership
This is an onsite position requiring in‑person presence at our office in Oakland, CA. May require occasional travel to client locations, conferences, etc.
