Substation Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take project scope from the Project Engineer and translate it into detailed 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD.
• Spend approximately 80% of the time working on design tasks duidelijke at the computer.
• Perform field visits to gather site data and validate design requirements.
• Develop substation layouts, grounding plans, conduit and cable routing, and equipment placement.
• Convert and manage drawings between AutoCAD and Micro Station as needed.
• Collaborate with technical leads and other engineers to ensure designs meet project scope and standards.
• Prepare design packages and incorporate vendor drawings into final deliverables.
• Maintain accuracy and quality control across all design outputs.
• Support construction teams by answering RFIs and resolviing design-related issues.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Be proactive in learning and adapting quickly to substation design standards.
