Position Summary:

The VIP Hospitality Host will welcome VIP guests and serve food and beverages before, during and after events at Oakland Arena. The Host must be personable and professional at all times and adhere to proper food and beverage handling guidelines, while providing excellent customer service.

* Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate with departments to ensure catering, lighting, general maintenance and/or additional accommodations are prepared for the given event per specifications.
Customer Service:  Greet all VIP guests promptly and in a friendly and inviting manner.  Answer all guest inquiries, offer suggestions, and provide information pertaining to accommodations available.
Food and Beverage Service:  Bartending (includes mixing drinks, pouring wine and other spirits).  Bussing and pre-bussing space.  Stocking bar area.  Arranging food platters.  Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

Current safe food/beverage certification or ability to obtain one upon hire.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education and/or

Experience:

Minimum education level of high school diploma or equivalent.  Minimum of 1-3 years related work experience.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal and organization skills.  Must be proactive in providing exceptional customer service.  Must be able to work in a team environment and interact with multiple departments with tact and professionalism.  Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
