Lead Cloud Dev Ops Engineer – Responsibilities
  • Leverage automation to scale Fictiv's infrastructure as we expand as a multi-regional global company
  • Plan and execute projects, leading small teams through the PDLC
  • Be a subject matter expert to help teams accelerate projects and unblock where needed
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services
  • Build tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources in an AWS environment
  • Perform infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while minimizing downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the Dev Ops lifecycle, deployments, and ensure best practices
  • Drive initiatives to improve scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in production environments
  • Maintain documentation of infrastructure, automation scripts, and operational processes
  • Set up, manage, and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions
  • All employees are expected to maintain and contribute to the QMS
Lead Cloud Dev Ops Engineer – Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in a combination of Dev Ops, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Systems Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience writing code with Python, NodeJS and shell
  • Expert-level knowledge of AWS, including EC2, Lambda, Cloud Formation, IAM, Cloud Watch, S3, VPC, Code Build, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, etc.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Cloud Formation, ECS, ECR, EKS, CDK, etc.
  • Experience with building CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with profiling tools and debugging applications
  • Database performance and optimization experience
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in AWS
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools and techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Having managed teams is a plus
