A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Senior SQL Server & BI Analyst

Position type: Fulltime - Contract role
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Oakland, CA

As a Senior SQL Server & BI Analyst you will:

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, ETL processes, and OLTP systems.
• Build and maintain SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards with advanced DAX and Power Query.
• Implement modern data architectures including data lakes and pipelines.
• Work with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Data Factory to create interactive dashboards and data solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and PCI standards.
• Provide clear documentation and communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Operate independently, taking ownership of projects from requirements gathering through delivery.

The ideal candidate will have:

• SQL Server (2019–2022) – T‑SQL:
  Ability to write complex SQL queries from memory.
• SSRS:
  Strong experience in report writing and customization.
• Power BI:
  Proven ability to design dashboards, reports, and data models using DAX and Power Query.
• ETL & OLTP:
  Advanced knowledge of extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Microsoft Fabric & Data Factory:
  Ability to build tables, query, and modify data for BI solutions.
• Excel:
  Expert‑level skills including pivot tables, charts, and diagrams.
• Data Governance & Security:
  In‑depth understanding of compliance standards for sensitive data.
• Communication:
  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem‑Solving:
  Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and deliver results.

• Advanced Power BI

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range* Between $70 - $80 per hour

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
