Must-Have
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved institution
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a litigation paralegal with a California law firm or in-house legal department
- Ability to work and bill as a paralegal under Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code section 6450
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, and legal research databases (Westlaw and/or Lexis)
- Prior experience with eDiscovery platforms (iPro, Relativity, or similar)
- Knowledge of legal procedures, rules of counsel, and local rules
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction industry or construction-related legal experience
- Advanced eDiscovery and litigation support skills
- Trial experience and/or Trial Director software proficiency
- Experience with iManage 10 or other document management programs

About the RoleThe Litigation Paralegal will play a key role in supporting the firm’s Construction & Facilities Practice Group
. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing case management, eDiscovery, trial preparation, and attorney support. The role offers the opportunity to work on challenging, high-impact cases while contributing to a respected, statewide practice.
- Manage litigation cases from inception through trial/settlement and post-trial activities
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents; cite-check briefs
- Oversee hard copy and electronic case documents, discovery logs, and document productions
- Conduct eDiscovery tasks, including document review, database management, and training team members on tools such as Relativity
- Prepare subpoenas, deposition materials, witness outlines, and trial exhibits
- Coordinate litigation support vendors and services
- Perform legal research and monitor pending decisions
- Ensure accurate billable-time entries and meet a 1,575 annual billable hour budget
- Maintain consistent onsite attendance (3 days in office / 2 days remote per week), with overtime and travel as needed
- Pay range: $49.00 – $60.00 per hour
