We are currently hiring an Immigration Removal Defense Attorney to develop the federal litigation efforts within our firm. This is a high-impact role for an outstanding litigator who thrives on complex challenges and is passionate about defending immigrants in removal proceedings, federal court, and beyond.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Deportation Attorney, you will:
- Handle Removal Defense cases under the strategy of our managing attorney. Handle Master Calendar, Bond hearings, and Individual Calendar appearances.
- Be trained in federal litigation, suing the government when they violate our client’s rights. Including Petitions for Writs of Habeas Corpus.
- Draft and argue motions, briefs, and appeals in federal and immigration courts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify litigation opportunities and build compelling cases.
- Represent clients at USCIS interviews as needed.
We are looking for a top-tier attorney who meets the following criteria:
- Minimum of 2+ years of legal experience, preferably in immigration law and/or federal litigation.
- Demonstrated strong aptitude for complex legal reasoning, research, and writing.
- Preferred: A strong background in immigration law and strong aptitude for research and writing.
- Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.
- Required:
Admission to the California Bar (or willingness to seek admission). - Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights, social justice, and public interest law.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The starting base salary is $105,000 to $115,000 depending on experience. We also offer 11 paid federal holidays, medical, dental, vacation, and matching 401K benefits. Additionally, we will invest in your training and development to turn you into a well-rounded, powerful team member. This position is full-time (in the office at least 3 days a week), Monday through Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm.
