THE OPPORTUNITY

The Park District is currently recruiting for System Administrator located at EBRPD Administrative Office, 2950 Peralta Oaks Ct., Oakland. The hiring pools established from this recruitment will be used to fill the current vacancies and additional vacancies that may occur during the one‑year life of the hiring pools.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices. Reporting to the Information Services Systems Manager, this classification is responsible for a variety of complex assignments, projects, and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the District’s information systems and infrastructure including but not limited to Active Directory/Microsoft, LANs, WANs, AZURE cloud services, file application servers, mobile device management, and VOIP.

This classification is distinguished from the higher‑level class of Information Services Systems Manager in that the latter is responsible for supervising staff, managing complex projects, and leading system and infrastructure implementation and integration efforts, whereas the former is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of those systems.
