Senior Operations Leader, National Kidney Care Nursing Strategy

This position is responsible for executing and operationalizing the national Kidney Care nursing strategy to improve patient outcomes, standardize nursing practice, and elevate nursing excellence across acute care and ambulatory settings. The role partners with Kidney Care/Nephrology leadership and key stakeholders across the enterprise to establish clinical priorities, drive evidence-based practice, reduce variation in care delivery, and advance performance in quality, safety, patient experience, and clinical outcomes.

The position leads initiatives that strengthen nursing practice, promote clinical excellence, and ensure consistent implementation of evidence-based standards across facilities and care settings. Through collaboration with regional and national leaders, the role builds engagement, fosters alignment, and translates clinical and operational priorities into actionable strategies and measurable improvements. The position also identifies opportunities to advance nursing professional development, clinical accountability, and the integration of best practices to support high-performing Kidney Care teams.

A minimum of 25% travel is required to support all KP facilities, clinics, and corporate offices to support strategy implementation, engage clinical and operational leaders, evaluate performance, and advance national priorities.

This senior technical/functional leader role manages large, complex work streams with significant program impact, engages with physicians, clinical leaders, and executive-level stakeholders to develop and evaluate key care delivery initiatives, collaborates cross-functionally to create and examine business analyses, and builds strong strategic partnerships with subject matter experts and leaders at all levels, including senior executives.

This role anticipates and addresses business issues and barriers to change, participates in enterprise prioritization of initiatives, enables redesign of KPs clinical and care delivery approaches, and supports the development of virtual teams for project execution and spread of best practices across the enterprise.
