Position Overview:
Applying the principles of the nursing process and working within the policies and procedures of the Patient Care Services Department and the Medical Center, the staff nurse is a registered nurse (RN) responsible for:

:
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrates working knowledge of patient care techniques, medications, treatments, and general healthcare procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to:
- Provide basic patient care to a diverse patient population.
- Read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations.
- Write legibly and effectively present ideas and document activities.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities.
- Deal with problems involving several variables with limited standardization.
Experience
:
- Minimum one year of current experience in the area of specialty is required.
- Minimum two years of adult intensive care experience, including advanced hemodynamic monitoring, is highly preferred.
- Experience with IABP, CRRT, or cardiovascular open-heart recovery is preferred.
Education
:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
- BSN preferred.
Licensures and Certifications
:
- Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are preferred.

Pay range: $76.20 to $103.10 per hour. Compensation considers experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. This range may vary based on geographic location and other factors. The total rewards include base pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
