Travel RN - Operating Room - Pediatric

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Operating Room position requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and prior Pediatric General OR experience.

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience required
• Required experience in Pediatric General OR
• Preferred experience in Ambulatory OR, CVOR, General OR, Pediatric CVOR, and Trauma
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Two professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

• Pediatric OR unit within a children's hospital setting
• 10-hour day shifts with variable start times (6:45 AM or 8:45 AM), rotating weekly based on department need
• Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekends
• Epic charting system used
• Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius required
• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of pediatric surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ENT, cardiovascular, neurology, and more
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed in employment history, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract
• RTO is not permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit, and married couples may not work on the same unit
