Position PurposeTo conduct research in compliance with the NSF grant.
Job DutiesResearch assistant will be involved with research activities related to technical tasks associated with a National Science Foundation grant and the fulfillment of their graduate program research requirements. Activities will primarily involve first-principles dynamics modeling and simulation of pendulum vibration absorbers for applications in electrified propulsion systems. This includes developing analytical results and a high-fidelity simulation capability to identify and accurately evaluate the vibration control performance of new vibration absorber designs in conventional and electrified rotating machinery applications.
