Cybersecurity Administrator located at the Park District’s Administrative Office, 2950 Peralta Oaks Ct., Oakland. The hiring pools established from this recruitment will be used to fill the current vacancies and additional vacancies that may occur during the one-year life of the hiring pools.

Under general direction, plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, reviews, and implements all aspects of District-wide information security and cybersecurity programs that are designed to provide the protection and confidentiality of data, along with protection of other systems and assets of the East Bay Regional Park District (Park District); defines, documents, and implements cybersecurity strategies, architectures, and procedures, and verifies that all data and computing infrastructure is properly protected from internal and external threats;

coordinates assigned activities with other staff, departments, divisions, outside agencies and the general public; provides complex and responsible support to the Chief Information Officer; and performs related work as assigned.

Cybersecurity Certification from SANS, ISC2 (CISSP), ISACA (CISA/CISM) or other relevant certification.

• Responsible for development, documentation, implementation and maintenance of information security plans, policies, procedures, and standards for the District, including a sound security policy and security measures.
• Creates and maintains all information system and software security configuration activities within established guidelines and/or regulations.
• Coordinates activities with corresponding agencies and vendors to ensure security compliance measures.
• Establishes and enforces standards, procedures, and/or policies in support of up-to-date security internal controls.
