As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people, packages, and materials; monitoring access points; and reporting security-related concerns. Your visible presence, professional communication, and customer-focused approach will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations.

Position Type:
Full Time Pay Rate: $21.95 / Hour What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
Operate screening equipment and conduct authorized inspections of persons, packages, and property while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
