Grout Technician

The Grout Doctor of Oakland (5 Star YELP rated and serving the Bay Area since 1993) is looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently, possesses good customer service and mechanical skills.

Work responsibilities:

• Tile re-grouting, re-caulking, cleaning, sealing, grout staining, and some tile repair

Qualifications include:

• Must be punctual and dependable. We pride ourselves on always being on time. If you are naturally late, this is not the job for you.
• Ability to work independently
• An eye for detail and pride in your work
• Good people skills to communicate effectively with clients
• Problem-solving skills
• English proficiency sufficient to read work orders and explain jobs to clients
• Smartphone with access to online work orders and schedules
• Dependable, late-model vehicle with proof of insurance for daily use
• Availability Monday through Friday, with occasional night and weekend commercial jobs
• Good driving record
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Recommended (not mandatory)

Experience:

• Tile and stone knowledge and experience
• Caulking experience
• Re-grouting experience
• Handyman experience
• Janitorial experience

Benefits:

The pay starts at $18.00 per hour during training. Once fully trained, compensation is based on a percentage of the job, starting at 20% and increasing to 30% over time. Jobs are scheduled for you, with average daily earnings between $125.00 and $300.00, depending on the job size, which can range from $200.00 to $1,000.00 per day. On-the-job training is provided.
