BASIC PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to provide direction and supervision for program participants and provide facility security.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist participants with daily needs (i.e: personal hygiene, simple problem solving, conflict management, etc)Monitor all persons entering and exiting the buildingAnswer phone, handle routine questions and direct callsComplete daily logs (shift logs, safety logs, FYIs, etc.)Oversee the participants cleaning and doing their daily choresConduct data entry as assignedConduct routine curfew and bedtime checksConduct washing of house linens as neededMonitor security cameras regularlyMaintain and execute confidential information according to HIPPA standardsMaintain a highly detailed and organized filling systemUtilize harm reduction and trauma informed care principlesMaintain a professional image and procedures for the front officeComplete written documentation of participant infractionsMaintain a neat and organized filling systemCheck and respond to emails and voicemails on a regular basisAdhere to confidentiality standardsOther duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of, and familiarity with, homeless services and social services.Ability to speak and write the English language at a high and professional levelHigh degree of confidentialityComputer literate in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel and Outlook preferredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent and professional telephone etiquette and presenceHigh degree of organizational skillsApproach problem solving creativelyStrong ability to utilize a high level of time management and handling multiple tasksCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum one (1) year social service experience preferredServ Safe Food Handlers CertificationMust possess a valid California Class C Driver License, and ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicleMust be 21 years or olderComplete The Salvation Army vehicle course trainingPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basisAbility to grasp, push, and/or pull objectsAbility to reach overheadAbility to operate telephoneAbility to lift up to 25-40 lbs.Ability to operate a computerAbility to process written, visual, and/or verbal informationAbility to operate basic office equipment and tools PC, Fax Machine, Telephone, Calculator, Copier, Printer.Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
