Position: After School Program Coach - Part-Time (Oakland)
Start date: 10/31/2025
Schedule:
- Monday: 2:00 - 6:00 pm
- Tuesday: 2:00 - 6:00 pm
- Wednesday: 2:00 - 6:00 pm
- Thursday: 2:00 - 6:00 pm
- Friday: 2:00 - 6:00 pm
- Saturday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Hours & pay expectation: $22-24 per hour

About the RoleAs a part-time After School Programs Coach, you’ll lead by example, creating safe, supportive, and engaging environments where students can flourish physically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll design and facilitate sports, e-sports, and enrichment activities, ensuring every child feels seen, included, and inspired to do their best. No two days are the same, and every day is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
HowYou’ll Contribute
- Lead & Supervise:
Supervise students during after school and enrichment programs, prioritizing safety, development, and well-being. - Engage & Inspire:
Bring positive energy, actively participate in sports and physical activities, and foster a culture of teamwork and sportsmanship. - Coach & Develop:
Plan, set up, and facilitate activities, drills, and scrimmages to build athletic and social-emotional skills. - Support & Collaborate:
Assist with equipment setup/breakdown, support site staff with student supervision, and maintain a welcoming, organized environment. - Learn & Grow:
Attend monthly professional development events and contribute ideas to keep programs evolving and impactful. - Communicate:
Provide feedback and collaborate with the Program Coordinator and team to continuously improve the student and team experience.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with children or students (sports or youth leadership background preferred).
- Physical ability to participate in sports activities and lift/move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of required immunizations.
- High school diploma, equivalent.
- 48 college units or willingness to complete the TABE exam.
- First Aid/CPR certification not required but preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have reliable transportation.
