Practice Players, GSV; Part-Time

The Practice Player is integral in preparing Golden State Valkyries team for competition. In this role, you will participate in practices simulating opponents' strategies and providing a competitive environment.

Individuals currently or prospectively eligible for the WNBA are ineligible for this position.

This is a part-time position based onsite in Oakland and will require travel to San Francisco for games.

• Actively participate in drills and scrimmages
• Partner with the coaching staff to study opponent offensive and defensive strategy
• Maintain a high level of physical fitness and conditioning
• Learn and understand the team's playbook, strategies, and systems
• Adhere to all team rules, regulations, and codes of conduct while maintaining confidentiality regarding the team's strategies and information

• Basketball experience at a competitive level (e.g., college, club); coaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of basketball fundamentals and excellent athletic ability, including speed, agility, strength, and endurance
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new plays, and strategies, and collaborate effectively with the team
• Maintain a positive level of integrity and be committed to the overall success of the team

• Ability to attend required and scheduled practices, training, and home games which are typically held nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the season

• $17.34 per hour
