Landscape Maintenance Account Manager
This person is the primary contact for existing clients and will work in conjunction with the production supervisor and crews. The main objectives of this position are maintaining existing client relationships, enhancing and improving the property, securing new long term clients, work with production supervisor on scheduling, production cost, manpower, equipment and materials. Must be capable of creating financial reports through existing software in order to develop strategies and ensure pricing will maintain or exceed targeted profit margins.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Manage and service an existing portfolio of commercial and residential maintenance accounts.
- Build long term client relationships with open and positive communication.
- Identify enhancement opportunities and generate proposals.
- Resolve issues in a timely basis.
- Lead and successfully manage crews and field managers to ensure all projects are completed within guidelines, budgets, and work hours and, in the case of changes and additional work, that work is communicated to the client and billing is completed.
- Develop crew work schedules and service routes.
- Schedule and conduct walk through inspections on the property to ensure all client expectations are being met.
- Understand specifications and make sure all are being completed as per the contract.
- To proactively identify potential problems within production and find resolution to minimize damage/risk or possibly create unforeseen opportunity for gain.
- Ensure safety for employees and clients at all times.
- Meet weekly with company President on account status and any issues.
- Generate referrals through existing clients.
- Prepares and presents proposals in complete and professional manner.
- Able to meet or exceed yearly sales goals.
- Work with all employees in a pleasant manner.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in landscape or business related field.
- 3-5 years industry experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A self-starter, adaptable, and a high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of financial management and basic accounting principles.
- Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Capability and knowledge of IT devices and applicable industry software (LMN).
- A valid driver’s license
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
