Airgas is looking for a Regional CDL Driver in Oakland, NJ!

• Compensation: $35 per hour
• 2nd Shift starting at 7pm Tuesday - Saturday
• Weekend availability is a requirement
• Route area: NYC, Long Island & Northern New Jersey
• Preferred experience driving in Metro NYC & Tri-State area
• Required experience:
  
  1 year of CMV driving w/ Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
• CO2 or any specialty gas experience is a plus but not required

Airgas National Carbonation specializes in CO2. All ANC trucks are CDL B rated, day‑cab and slip seats are utilized. Day shift, night shift and weekend availability is required as needed to cover colleagues/business shift needs. Ability to travel 25%‑50% of the time within the region including layovers with 1‑2 weeks prior notice. When travel is expected, Airgas will pay for any hotel accommodations, flights or car rentals.

All ANC trucks are day cabs, there is no expectancy for layovers in sleeper cabs. Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip evaluation and complete all required documentation of the assigned vehicle on a daily basis, following the company operation procedure. Responsible for the safe and accurate loading/unloading and transporting of CO2 products for servicing. Including but not limited to climbing 14 ft ladders, operating battery and electric power tools.

Maneuvering equipment up to 500 lbs with a hand truck and ability to work overhead regularly. Obtains required signatures from customers as needed.

• Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT, tanker & Airbrake endorsements
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at‑fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 5 years
