Science Teacher, High School, Special Education Teacher, Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional
The High School Science Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction in science courses (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science) to students in grades 9–12. The teacher fosters scientific literacy, critical thinking, and inquiry-based learning while supporting diverse learners in a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
The individual will be able to:
Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging science instruction aligned to state standards and district curriculum.
Use a variety of instructional strategies, including inquiry-based labs, demonstrations, technology integration, and collaborative learning.
Develop and administer formative and summative assessments; analyze data to inform instruction and provide timely feedback.
Maintain a safe laboratory environment; enforce safety procedures and proper use of equipment and materials.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and English learners.
Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive school culture.
Establish and maintain clear classroom expectations that support a positive learning climate.
Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues regarding academic progress and behavior.
Collaborate with department members and participate in professional learning communities.
Maintain accurate records, grades, and documentation in accordance with school and district policies.
