D.C. United Camps deliver summer soccer experiences that kids can’t get at any other summer camp. Designed for ages 5-13, at D.C. United Camps, young fans learn the game, celebrate D.C. Campers build confidence, form friendships, and get exclusive access to the energy, history, and culture of the D.C. United.

As the Safety & Operations Coordinator
, you are a key member of the site leadership team responsible for camper safety, first aid support, and operational readiness throughout the camp day. You bring a hands‑on, steady presence to camp operations, helping ensure programming runs safely, smoothly, and professionally.

You support campers, staff, and families by creating an organized, well‑prepared environment that allows camp to run with energy and confidence. By keeping spaces ready, transitions smooth, and safety protocols clear, you help campers stay focused on fun, connection, and making the most of each camp day while giving staff the support they need to deliver great experiences.

  • Schedule Monday‑Friday 7:15 am‑3:45 pm
  • Time Commitment:
    Available for pre‑camp training and all weeks of programming
  • Compensation: $19 per hour with up to 2.5 hours of overtime per week paid at 1.5× rate
  • Required Certification:
    In‑person/hybrid Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR Certification, or the ability to complete these prior to May 30
  • Camp Dates & Locations:  (locations may change weekly; reliable transportation required)

    Campers and staff of all backgrounds and gender identities are welcome  are a phone‑free and nut‑free working environment.
  • Extended Employment Opportunities:
    Goal‑Scoring, Passing & Dribbling, and Goalie small‑group lessons Monday‑Friday 3:15‑4:00 pm (paid at $43.75 per lesson)
  • Serve as a key member of the site leadership team, supporting camper safety, staff readiness, and daily operational flow
  • Support the physical, social, and emotional safety of campers and staff by consistently following and enforcing all camp safety protocols
  • Act as the on‑site first responder for injuries or medical situations, using CPR and First Aid training as needed
  • Communicate safety updates or incidents clearly with site leadership and the Customer Experience Coordinator to support timely family communication
  • Review daily medication, sunscreen, and allergy information and support individualized care plans for campers
  • Serve as a resource for safety procedures, including medication administration, bathroom protocols, and emergency response
  • Maintain and organize safety and first aid supplies, communicating inventory needs to Headquarters
  • Support morning and afternoon carpool by managing check‑in and helping welcome families to camp
  • Own the setup, breakdown, and organization of camp materials and spaces, including tents, signage, water stations, and activity equipment
  • Inventory, organize, and maintain operational supplies throughout the summer
  • Help ensure camp facilities, fields, and shared spaces are cared for and left clean each day
  • Represent the D.C. United and Headfirst with calm professionalism when interacting with campers, families, partners, and guests
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support a safe, organized, and positive camp experience
  • Completed at least two years at an accredited undergraduate institution or equivalent educational experience
  • Coursework or experience in healthcare, athletic training, pre‑medicine, nursing, education, kinesiology, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working with children in camp, school, or active environments
  • Calm, organized, and dependable, especially in fast‑paced or unexpected situations
  • Comfortable taking initiative and supporting both safety needs and daily camp operations
  • Dedicated to the camp’s mission, program quality, and a supportive team environment for the full camp season
  • Possess or be able to obtain valid CPR/First Aid…
