Coach, D.C. United Summer Camps (D.C. & Virginia):
Deliver summer soccer experiences for ages 5‑13, building confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game. Campers enjoy D.C. United traditions, Match‑Day moments, and the magic of the club.
Responsibilities- Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 7:45 am‑3:30 pm; include pre‑camp training and all program weeks. - Compensation: $17.95 per hour.
- Lead a small group (10‑12) of campers through daily soccer drills, games, activities, and active play, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality camp experience.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where campers feel safe, encouraged, and excited to participate.
- Motivate campers with positive energy, clear communication, and hands‑on leadership, setting a tone that is fun, focused, and authentically D.C. United.
- Maintain all camp safety, supervision, and behavioral expectations throughout the day.
- Assist with transitions, group movement, arrival, dismissal, and daily camp operations, ensuring smooth and safe operations.
- Collaborate with fellow coaches and site leadership to support daily camp flow and deliver premium camp moments.
- Represent D.C. United and Headfirst with professionalism, enthusiasm, and pride, bringing the D.C. United experience to life for campers and families.
- Passionate about soccer and excited to share it with campers in a way that builds confidence and joy.
- Comfortable leading and supervising a small group of campers throughout the day.
- Reliable, coachable, and open to learning through training, feedback, and collaboration.
- Safety‑minded, adaptable, and calm in active, fast‑paced environments.
- Able to remain upright and standing for multiple hours; walk, run, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs of sports equipment.
- Committed to adhering to and enforcing the camp’s Cell‑Phone Free policy, powering down and putting away cell phones for the duration of your shift.
- Reliable transportation to get to site each day.
