Job Title:

Staff Accountant, Audit and Assurance
Permanent, Full-Time
Our client, a public accounting firm in Oakville, ON, is currently looking for a  Staff Accountant  to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Assurance team to complete audits and reviews.
Complete smaller audits from start to finish.
Travel to client locations as needed.
Assist with larger audit engagements and tax assignments.
Prepare and maintain payroll, government remittances/filings, sales records, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, and payroll transactions.
Prepare HST returns, financial statements, and personal and corporate tax returns.
Handle bookkeeping for clients.
Assist with financial planning documentation.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary accounting education is required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting.
CPA designation or pursuit thereof is required.
Strong time-management skills and self-motivation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with staff and clients.
Proficiency with  Case Ware ,  Profile/Tax Prep , MS Office, and Quick Books.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to build lasting client relationships and contribute to team success.
