Our client in the education sector has a need for an Senior Accountant to join their established team. This is an excellent professional environment where you will work with a supportive, friendly team.

Working along side and supporting the Administration office, you would report into the CFO. Your duties would include but not be limited to:

• accounts receivable and collections of tuition payments
• billing administration and cash applications
• semi-monthly staff payroll, ensuring accurate deductions and government remittances
• general accounting duties including accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
• budgeting and revenue reports including monthly cash reports, financial reports and investment summaries
• Ad-hoc work as requested by Administration
• Systems used are Paymate, Sage Business Vision, Quickbooks and Microsoft Office

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a general accounting role with receivables and payroll responsibilities
• Similar ERP experience is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong aptitude in learning new technology tools
• A GREAT attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communications skills are MANDATORY
• You must be tactful, respectful, dependable and reliable.
